New surgical center opens in N.J., promising ‘high end hospitality’ to patients

A new surgical facility that blends “high-end hospitality” with reconstructive and cosmetic surgery opened in Bergen County Monday, December 15, 2025.

The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction and The Plastic Surgery Center opened a 6,800-square-foot center at 208 Harris Town Road in Glen Rock.

Located about 20 miles northwest of New York City, the facility aims to serve as “an international destination for patients seeking specialized surgical care in a private setting.”

“Glen Rock represents the culmination of years of vision and dedication,” Dr. Joseph Dayan, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with both organizations, said in a written statement. “We set out to create an exclusive destination for patients seeking the most advanced reconstructive and aesthetic surgery anywhere in the world.”

The center brings together multiple surgical specialties under one roof, offering procedures ranging from lymphedema surgery and breast reconstruction to deep plane face lifts and facial reanimation.

It also houses diagnostic technology and wellness services typically found at major academic medical centers.

Pavarini Design of New York City handled the interior design, incorporating refined millwork and a calming color palette. The facility features separate arrival and exit paths to protect patient privacy, along with amenities including warmed spa robes, companion lounges, and pre- and post-procedure suites.

“By bringing reconstructive and cosmetic specialists together in one elevated space, we’ve created a seamless journey for patients — one that combines world-class skill with an atmosphere of calm, care, and attention to detail,” said Dr. Sidney Rabinowitz, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with the organizations.

“Every element was designed to make people feel seen, supported and confident from the moment they arrive,” Rabinowitz added.

The facility offers glucose and metabolic monitoring, intravenous therapies for hydration and recovery, and aesthetician-led treatments.

The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction operates clinics nationwide, treating conditions including cancer-related deformities, hand trauma, and peripheral nerve disorders.
